Dan McMillin Takes 1-2/1600 WIN at SCORE Laughlin Desert Challenge

Mark McMillin, Dan McMillin and Luke McMillin all finish in the top 10 at SCORE Season Opener

San Diego, California (January 18, 2011) Daniel McMillin raced hard behind the wheel of his single seat McMillin Homes class 1-2/1600 both Saturday and Sunday to take the win by three seconds over Arnoldo Ramirez.

Luke McMillin drove his two seat McMillin Racing both days of racing at the 2011 SCORE season opener with Andy DeVercelly riding in that right seat. Luke put his #1600 in the lead after day one of racing and drove conservatively on Sunday to preserve the finish in hopes of repeating his class Championship.

In the class one race, Daniel McMillin drove with Casey King taking over the co-driving duties. They had a good solid race on Saturday, had heating problems on Sunday and the LS2 went into limp mode. Daniel saved the car and slowly made his way around the last two laps to make it to the finish in the top 10.

In the Trophy Truck race Mark McMillin kept his style and drove conservative on Saturday with Cameron Parrish in the right seat. They handed off the driving duties to Chuck Hovey on Sunday with Chris Olimon in the right seat leading Hovey around the track. The team raced strong to finish in 9th place for the 2011 SCORE Desert Racing Season Opener, Laughlin Desert Challenge.

The next race for the boys will be at the SNORE Battle at Primm where both Dan and Luke will be in search of victory in their 1-2/1600 race cars.

At the next round of the SCORE Desert Racing Season, the San Felipe 250, Mark McMillin will race the #23 Trophy Truck, Dan McMillin behind the wheel of his Class 1 and Luke McMillin will defend his 1-2/1600 Class Championship.
